I have an outline for a book about building brand authority. Only my agent says I need a bigger following if I want to attract a publisher. So I’ve accepted the challenge – grow my LinkedIn audience to 15,000 people and build a newsletter database of 2,500.
The Authority Project will document my journey as I build my own authority in public, applying everything I’ve learned over the years working with clients of all shapes and sizes. You’ll get a front row seat on the highs and the lows, what works and what doesn’t, and discover how to build your own authority in the process.
I’m Rin, brand and content specialist. Over the course of the last 20+ years I’ve been a journalist, copywriter, founder of a B Corp certified agency, and now a consultant, strategist, speaker and trainer.
I’ve always been interested in what builds authority – why we trust certain people and brands over others, and how to proactively and systematically develop credibility. Now I’m taking what I already know and adding my own journey to the mix, alongside anything else I learn along the way.
The result, I hope, will be a book that brings it all together, and a big enough audience for that book to land a publishing deal.
